About Purser Wellness

Purser Wellness is a physician-led wellness clinic that combines intracellular micronutrient testing, targeted genetic analysis, and personal consultations for people seeking a more individualized nutrition and wellness plan.

A lab report can show a pattern. What matters next is understanding that pattern in the context of your life, your questions, and the rest of your health information. That is the work we do together.

What Purser Wellness does

CMA intracellular micronutrient testing

The Cellular Micronutrient Assay (CMA) examines nutrient function within immune cells. We offer CMA with or without a Redox panel, then help you interpret the findings and identify nutrition priorities for a practical next-step plan. Explore CMA bundles.

DRP genetic testing

Our DRP genetic panel looks at more than 200 selected markers, including genes related to nutrient metabolism and other wellness pathways. We put the results in context, explain what a variant can and cannot tell you, and discuss which findings may be useful for your plan. Explore genetic testing.

Consultations and nutritional guidance

Meet with Dr. Dan Purser or a Purser Wellness team member according to the service you choose. We review your results, listen to your concerns, and turn technical findings into individualized food, supplement, and follow-up priorities. View consultation options.

Education you can return to

Our books, articles, videos, and courses make topics such as MTHFR, homocysteine, hormone health, and cellular nutrition easier to understand. Physician Designed, a related supplement brand founded by Dr. Purser and his formulating partner, offers products developed around some of those same interests. Watch our videos.

What makes Purser Wellness different

We consider more than one view of your biology

Genetic testing describes selected inherited variants; CMA assesses aspects of current cellular nutrient function. Some people start with one test, while others use both to frame better questions for their consultation.

You choose the consultation that fits

Published CMA bundles include a visit with Dr. Purser or with Purser Wellness staff, so you can see who will review your results before ordering. The DRP genetic bundle currently listed on our site includes a 30-minute consultation with Dr. Purser.

You leave with a usable guide

We connect findings to food and supplement priorities in a customized guide, rather than asking you to decipher a long list of markers alone. Your recommendations should make sense to you and be open to discussion as your needs change.

Decades of practice inform the conversation

Dr. Purser brings more than 40 years of medical experience to the practice and shares his teaching through books, courses, and videos. Our team has reviewed more than 55,000 genetic and intracellular tests; that experience shapes how we explain findings without treating a single result as the whole story.

Compare what a testing purchase includes

SpectraCell offers intracellular micronutrient testing. Our published $599 CMA bundle includes a lab test, a 30-minute consultation with a Purser Wellness staff member, and a customized supplement and nutrition plan. Our site states that testing and nutritional counseling do not require an annual agreement.

How Purser Wellness works

  1. Start with a question. Review our testing options or call 801-796-7667 to discuss whether a consultation, CMA, genetics, or a combination is the right place to begin.
  2. Complete your intake and testing. New patients complete registration and medication information before their visit. Genetic testing uses a mailed cheek-swab kit; CMA requires a blood draw with a qualified provider, and any outside draw fee may be separate.
  3. Review the results together. Once the lab results are available, the office schedules your visit with the person named in your selected bundle. Appointments may be in Pleasant Grove, Utah, or by Zoom or phone, subject to the service and applicable care requirements.
  4. Take the next step with a plan. We explain the findings, discuss nutrition and supplement priorities, and provide the guide included with your service. The office can confirm current lab processing, appointment availability, and reply times when you contact us.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need both CMA and genetic testing?

No. Some people begin with current nutrient status, others with genetics, and some choose both. Our team can help you decide which starting point matches your questions.

Will a genetic result tell me what condition I have?

A selected genetic variant is one piece of information, not a diagnosis or a prediction of your future. We discuss it alongside your history and other findings, and recommend appropriate medical care for health concerns that need diagnosis or treatment.

Who will discuss my results with me?

That depends on the option you buy: our CMA listings identify either Dr. Purser or Purser Wellness staff, and the current DRP genetic bundle lists Dr. Purser. Check the service description before ordering so you know who is included.

Can I meet with you without coming to Utah?

Many appointments are offered by Zoom or phone, and in-person visits take place in Pleasant Grove. Ask the office about availability and any requirements for the specific service you need.

How much does it cost to get started?

The current CMA and staff-consult bundle starts at $599, while other tests and Dr. Purser consultations have separate prices. Review the pricing page for the latest options and ask about any outside blood-draw fees.

How long will results take?

Timing depends on the test, sample collection, laboratory processing, and appointment availability. The office can share the current estimate for your selected service when you order.
